A Family update

As always its been a long time since my last entry. its been an interesting time
Just thought i would post an update on our lives.. in random order

We still have the Subaru Forester and its running ok.. nothing serious at the moment.. had some work done last month.. still need to switch over to summer tires. Im driving my dads Toyota Rav4 to work.. and this fall my parents offered to give us there Mazda CX7 which is really awesome and generous of them. William turned 4 in feb, time really flies fast. hard to believe he is alreaedy 4.. He is signed up to go to school this fall at Bruce T lindley just around the corner. We sold our pool last fall and now our backyard has a big hole where the pool was, our plan is to open it up so the kids have room to run around. William is super into Toy Guns, and computer games. Hotwheels are still a bit part of his life.., Jadzia is growing up fast, becoming more independent everyday. she is still a cutie. but is having trouble listening, and recently seemed to love to attack the walls with various household objects.. child locks have recently been reinstalled in various places. He has a big girl bed donated from Opa and Omi, but it has no fancy frame like Williams Bed.. its on my TODO list.. hopefully it will be done before she is too old and things is cheezy.

"Yeah, we've seen some pretty fancy robotic arm work already this year, but Festo is out to show 'em all up with its fluidic muscle-packin' Airic's_arm. This robotic prosthesis sports a "bone structure" which mimics that found on a real live human, and can be moved via the 30 "muscles" built within. Essentially, Festo's approach to movement relies on "an elastomer tube reinforced by aramid fibers, which contract quickly and exert a pulling force when they're filled with a blast of compressed air or liquid." Of course, you'll notice it doesn't offer quite the same range as less bionic alternatives, but this thing's pretty accurate, indeed. Check it out for yourself, the video's right down there."

MIT researchers work toward spark-free, fuel-efficient engines

Cambridge (MA) – MIT researchers have developed a fuel-efficient car engine that doesn’t use a spark to ignite fuel.  The homogeneous charge compression ignition engine (HCCI) combines elements from standard spark ignition and diesel engines.  Researchers say the engines cut pollution and improve fuel economy by several miles per gallon.

Well its been a while since ive blogged.. alot has happened. my Son William was Born on Feb 15. Here is a photo.

Baby and Mom are doing really well. and everthing seems grand.. its been just over 3 weeks now since he was born. and its really great. hes a beautiful boy. and people keep saying he looks like me.. sometimes i agree. but sometimes im not sure.

what do you think?

Work has been really busy. with some new projects with some large clients. its keeping everyone on there toes. with crazy short deadlines.. Jens not liking it.. and neither am I .. atleast when im working 18hrs a day!

Adobe Creative Suite 3 CS3 is suppose to come out the end of March. which should be great. as my Mac at work is a Mac Pro and it will run much better with CS3 then it does with CS2.. cant wait..

Hmm.. this is annoying!

well its Feb 10.. 6 days since Jen was due.. and nothing.. how annoying! :) somtimes I wish Jen would just be induced and sometimes im glad she doesnt. but regardless I am getting impatient. I wish the due dates they give women would actually be accurate.. if they can predict weather . they should be able to predict a due date!

so when is this baby coming.. this counter is just for fun.. I do wish it could tell. when the baby will really show up
it would help.. ive been very excitied and antzy.. waiting for him to show up. the baby room is pretty much done.
my family seems excitied. my mom made a great chair for the baby room and my sister keeps calling asking silly questions.
Becca is also ready to pop any moment and I am looking forward to meeting her baby..

Jen seems content. to keeping the baby in forever.. I on the other hand.. cant wait. but what can I do.. i donno..
I hate waiting!

If I somehow won or inherited a crazy amount of money I would go on a spending spree (well first i would take 80% or so and invest it to that i have enough for the rest of my life) and the rest i would spend on high end gizmos gadgets and cool things.

im really happy about it. I would have been really happy with a Girl too

The Driverless Car!

"CHANGCHUN, China — At its hometown show last week, China's First Auto Works wowed the locals with a demonstration of what was described as the country's first unmanned vehicle — not counting spacecraft, of course.

The vehicle in question was a specially modified version of FAW's Hongqi (Red Flag) HQ3 sedan, which was unveiled last year as a concept and bears a startling resemblance to the Toyota Crown Majesta, not to mention an older Hyundai XG350.

FAW tested the driverless sedan at speeds of up to 37 mph but said the car can actually reach a top speed of 93 mph. The demonstration took place at the Northeast Asia Investment and Trade Expo here, according to the Shanghai Daily.

According to the newspaper, the specially equipped HQ3, which monitors the road via two onboard cameras and receives its instructions from a computer, "has a strong ability to recognize the environment around it and tackle turnoffs [and] street crossings, as well as broken lines instantly. It's also able to adapt to changes of driving attitude and natural lighting, as well as shadows of trees and bridges."

Boy? Girl?

This coming Thursday, Jennifer has an ultrasound , she will be 20weeks by then
and hopefully we will find out if we will have a boy or a girl.

I cant say what i would like more.. only because i dont know. sometimes I hope its a boy.. sometimes a girl.. but in the end it doesnt really matter. i really hope its healthy and normal (normal for us)

I did feel quite jealous when our friends Becca & Drew told us they were having a boy (they are about 2 weeks more pregnant then Jen & I)

anyways I will keep you posted. its exciting and i cant wait to find out.. and i hope i actually find out. We will try and get a video of the ultrasound and maybe i will post it online
